Nuvoton Ubuntu Maverick 2.6.37
#1
Hi everyone,

curently i'm trying to get Nuvoton CIR working on my Ubuntu Maverick System. I use a 2.6.37 kernel taken from the xorg-edgers Launchpad repository.

Looks like the nuvoton_cir module is not included. Is there a way to get it?
Or do I have to compile the kernel by myself using ths Howto? http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9...ostcount=3

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards

You might as well use XBMC Freak. You are already using the updated kernel. There should be a build for Nuvoton support.

It worked for me on ION 330HT but I had some issues with "double clicks" that I never sorted out since I opted for the other solution from the big 330HT remote thread.

BUT of course I tested on Lucid. I think there is more issues with remotes on Maverick, other people have had problems.

XBMCFreak might have been an option... but I've set up the whole system... the remote control is the only remaining task.

I really wonder how the XBMCFreak developer solved this issue... Compiling a custom kernel is not the best option I think...

Yeah. I had to use XBMCFreak because my GT430 was not working on vanilla XBMC Live Dharma... my HTPC would boot and hang at the username/password prompt. Sad

I am liking XBMCFreak and do not see any downfalls.

I tried it with the XBMCFreak Maverick v3 which has the nuvoton patch included. Doesn't work for me, either. Can someone please confirm that?

I have an Asus S1-AT5NM10E.
