Hi,
First off al my setup:
MediaCenter: PC multipleboot with XBMC Live installed on HD, 17Mbit down stream
Source Media: PC Win XP, 3,7TB used data located in a dutch datacentre with a 1GB up/down stream.
Normal i used the FTP option in XBMC to get and stream my movies and music on my xbmc.
But, is there no better option for streaming over internet?
I tried install ccXstream, but this works only into a local network.
I tried filesharing and VPN over internet, but this is slower than the FTP protocol.
I hope to get some advice here, because FTP is normaly not mean to using for streaming media, there a better protocols for that, but I do not know how and wich protocol can used.
(if nessesary i reinstall the XP to a linux server if i get more options)
