Hey guys,
I use russian iptv that I pay a small fee for online. The website allows me to view the channels online or download a m3u playlist which can be opened in VLC player. It plays perfect. I installed XBMC on my computer and it also streams there fine.

I now just got AppleTV2 and the same stream is choppy. The appletv2 is connected via ethernet so it is not a connection issue.

Also, on a sidenote. The original M3U file has about 100 channels. When I try to open it in XBMC (on any platform) it freezes, so I have to put only a few channels like this in a M3U file otherwise it doesn't open at all. A M3u file with the above by the way takes about 30sec or more to open.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello!

I also can access a iptv with VLC and .m3u file, but I dont know how to configure XBMC to do that.

Can you help me to configure XBMC to access that and I'll let you know is everyting is smooth or not..

When running XBMC on your computer and watching it hit 'o' and then 'print screen'. Save the screenshot somewhere like imgur and post a link.

Or just enable debugging and post up a xbmc.log on pastebin.

I'm curious what codec it's using.

I tried experimenting; exact same url running on my computer and appletv2. Runs fine on the computer and choppy on the appletv

Use plugin from rodnoe tv. need to be modified a little to work with russia-iptv.com...refer to pristavka.de They say it should work... I'm trying this too
