If the Frontrow app was not patched during the XBMC install:

Found ATV2 running ios 4.2+/AppleTV
Frontrow app md5sum is unknown, not patching
Setting up org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 (10.0-0) ...

Is there any way to add XBMC to the Frontrow after the fact? If not, how can you start XBMC without a patched Frontrow app?

I've seen some mentions of a app called Software menu, but don't see anything concrete written about it.

Any pointers?

This was so stupid.

kill -9 [PID of AppleTV]

was all it took.

killall AppleTV didn't seem to be enough - no idea why.
