I'm kinda stumped on this, so looking for some help.
I have a fresh install of XBMC Live, and I'm trying to change my hostname to conform with naming scheme on my network.
First, I edited /etc/hostname to the desired name, then I edited /etc/hosts and changed that. When I restart, it goes back to XBMCLive.
If, from the command line, i do "sudo hostname -F /etc/hostname" and log out. It displays my new hostname, but as soon as i reboot, it goes back to XBMCLive.
What is causing this? How can I fix it.
I had a prior version of XBMCLive on this system that I had no trouble with for hostname. My current install was a clean install.
