I know there is a hack to do load a custom bluetooth stack to for a bluetooth keyboard. I would love to have something similar for bluetooth audio. I use the AppleTV is my workout room and would prefer to use my bluetooth headphones for the sound.

i think it would depend on the bluetooth chip and whether it supports the audio profile or not.

This really isn't an XBMC issue, though it might need some tweaking to work with XBMC if a solution existed. What you should do is see if anyone is working on a 3rd party bluetooth stack for audio. To the best of my knowlage the only one who has done this is Roqy for his GPS Bluetooth stack on iPod/iPhone/iPad, so maybe you could ask him for a lead/assistance.
