xbmc crashes everytime i attempt to play a 720p h264 mkv
#1
I have upgraded from 10.0 beta 2 to 10.0 Dharma. Everytime I attempt to play a 720p mkv movie my xbmc crashes.

I am using OS X 10.5.8 on intel macbook pro. Any ideas what the problem could be. I attempted to change to a diff skin to see if the skin would be the issue behind this but the same thing happens. All other type of files play fine however.

Code Type: PPC (Translated)
Parent Process: launchd [212]

Date/Time: 2011-02-04 13:28:51.992 -0600
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6.6 (10J567)

Your crashreporter.log is very confusing.

In your original post, you say you are running 10.5.8, this says 10.6.6. Also, it looks like it's running as PPC (PowerPC) Code.

So what's going on?

EDIT: The crash occurs because it's trying to load CDADdecode but can't find a PPC version.

Quote:ERROR: Unable to load /System/Library/Frameworks/VideoDecodeAcceleration.framework/Versions/Current/VideoDecodeAcceleration, reason: dlopen(/System/Library/Frameworks/VideoDecodeAcceleration.framework/Versions/Current/VideoDecodeAcceleration, 1): no suitable image found. Did find:

Oops sorry for the mistake. I am running 10.6.6

Found out the problem. My xbmc is PPC. I must've downloaded the wrong version. Sad Sorry for being so careless.

Thanks for pointing that out to me.
