According to the announcement above there are plans to move to external libraries instead of using internal ones.
Have there been any changes making it worth to move to external libraries already? Or is it still safer to stay with internal libs? In this regard I'm especially referring to ffmpeg.
Let's assume one could already move to external ffmpeg, what build flags would you recommend to setup for ffmpeg?
