Hello all,
I can see my Synology DS-210j NAS in XBMC for iPad without problems at all, but I get a "Connection refused" error every time I try to connect via SMB.
Didn't have the problem on XBMC for windows, but XBMC for iPad returns that error every time I try.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

looks like there was a samba packaging error with 10.0-4. 10.0-5 is brewing.

Thanks!
Is there any method to bypass the problem or will I just have to wait (patiently)?

if you have any windows live components installed (live id, messenger, essentials, etc ...) uninstall them.

Thanks, just updated to 10.0-5 but the problem is still there.
Was the update specifically targeted to solve the smb problem? Or is there anything else I can do to get rid of the "connection refused" message when trying to connect to my NAS?
Thanks.

Davilla,
Thank you very much!
Got it working at last by entering the manual smb address and now it works great (had to deselect "Sync playback to display" that I somehow selected earlier to get stutter free playback) now.
This is cool.
EDIT: the problem was quite weird, because I do not have Live Essentials or anything similar installed.
