stopped detecting USB HDD
#1
I had Xbmc on, and wanted to transfer some files from my smaller 2,5" Hdd to my 3,5" 2TB Hdd. I already had the bigger drive plugged in. When I tried to had the second drive all hell broke loose. It didn´t detect the small Hdd and also lost track of the other. Now I can´t detect any Usb pendrives or HDDs. But this only happens on Xbmc. Outside, using the command line I can use lsusb and it will detect all the devices. So it seems it only affected whatever controls the detection of plug and play devices. Does anyone have a fix for this? Or do I have to reinstall Xbmc? knowing that I will lose all the Libraries information, because I can´t export it to a pen drive.

I´m running XbmcLive Dharma, Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, kernel 2.6.32-26

Hopefully I can unistall any corrupted utility that is responsible for the mounting of the USB Hdd and install an update. By the way my mce usb remote works fine and so does my usb keyboard. So it seems it´s only affecting the HDDs. I would apreciate any help, thanks.
