It came with it and I can't let it run without... the temp goes too high.

Everything arrived today! Install is going on now woooooooo. This thing is just about as silent as can be. I did not use one of the two 120mm case fans as the low watt CPU + fanless vid card should not generate a TON of heat. We'll see how this goes.

does your box sit in a freezer to be fanless?

Mine need the stock 40mm fan on the heatsink and I added a 120mm yate loon for a side airflow in my Apex MI-008.

Did you change the thermal compound like some tutorials show on different website?

I did not do anything. However the motherboard is installed in a case I made myself (wood) and which has no cover over the CPU. So there is pretty good natural convection (and therefore no need for a case fan either!). I just need to dust this every six months.

I think that case airflow is really important to run fanless. Have you tried to rund your case with the case fan but without the CPU fan?
