Just posting my setup and what I have working at home.
I had given up on this project a while ago due to laptop limitations (and I didn't want to go out and buy a MediaPC at the time), but you gotta love NEW DRIVERS!!! :-)
My laptop is connected to my amp via HDMI, and can (finally) handle 1080p output! I have the latest Girder 5 installed and a USB-UIRT connected as well. Finally, a Snapstream Firefly remote to control the lot!!
So a big Thanks and Thumbs up to the folks here at XMBC. Love the app and will be donating to the cause.
