Hi guys,

Would it be possible for a plugin to be created that simply allows you to set the volume of XBMC to be mapped to the System volume level?

Can this be done through a plugin? & if so, who's up for the challenge?

I am not sure if there is an OS independent api, but if you are talking about linux the Audio mixer add-on obviously is manipulating the alsa volume control. If this is what you want to do take a look in the code.

afaik, Plex also does this for OSX. however, this is only for stereo. (osx doesnt allow you to adjust a surround sound volume)
