Irregular no sound issues on HD videos
#1
Hi,

I've some trouble with no sound issues on HD videos. The sound is ok for most of the time, but suddenly I've got no sound when playing a new video. Reboot usually fixes the problem.

xbmc.log - video with sound: http://pastebin.com/hz26cfGs

xbmc.log - video without sound: http://pastebin.com/qjeidpJU

I suspect the line wth "NOTICE: Opening audio stream: 0 source: 256" has something to do with my problem. It's 1 on the video with sound.

I've got a Nvidia 9400 connected to a H&K AVR255 receiver throught HDMI. Running Dharma on a Ubuntu Maverick minimal install with Nvidia 270 driver.

Can somebody please help me? Sorry for my bad english.

Cheers

I get the same problem

Never used to happen, but for some reason 50% of the time an HD video will start with no Sound. usually stopping the film and starting it again fixes the problem (sometime restart a couple of times)

This has only started happening since iv Added a new hard drive and moved my media around. I deleted my database/thumbnails and rescanned my library and it all appears fine and all SD videos work with out issue. I'm planning on formatting my PC and starting a fresh soon so hopefully a fresh install of XBMC should fix the issue.
