JSON-RPC API: Keeping up to date with developments
#1
Greetings,

Apologies for any noob-ness that might follow...

I am in the process of putting together a skin that will include a substantial amount of Python scripting to extend the UI, most directly the music section. I am using the JSON-RPC API to do this since the HTTP API is now for the chop.

Clearly the JSON-RPC is under active development, and I note that a number of new methods have been added since Dharma was released. My question is, can I upgrade this aspect of XBMC to take advantage of new methods without compiling the job lot?

I am using OSX as my dev platform.

Any help / advice gratefully appreciated!
