Goodmorning.

Because I have to send my receiver back to the dealer, I switched yesterday from HDMI 5.1 sound to analog 5.1. Just used my Logitech set from my normal pc to the living room and connected them to the analog ouutput of my Asrock ION 330. I have HDMI connected to my tv for the video.

But when I try to watch video's with 6 channel audio, it looks like only 2 channels are outputted.

I tried all sorts of "plug" with custom audio device and some asoundrc configurations, but no luck.

Has anyone an idea??

I've tried a new Live CD, instead of my Live version installed to my SSD.

Still no luck.

Nevermind, it looks like the Asrock ION 330 can't output 5.1 from the analog output.

Well now I read it can in Windows, so it should be possible in linux.

Gave up. Installed windows 7 and everything works fine now. Will take a look at win7 as the OS for XBMC and will decide whether to switch back when my receiver returns.
