SMB sharing (does it uses bandwidth)
#1
Didn't know where to post this question hope it is in the right place.

I just set up SMB sharing between two pc's in my home (both run Xbmc) Everything works fine, except I was wondering does it affects my internet bandwidth usage? I guess not since both computers are wirelessy connected to the same router.

I never understood a thing about networking.

the only thing it can affect on your internet connection is if you are maxing out your speed on you local network(between your 2 computers) then it will affect the speed of your internet browsing.

but it doesn't count as download/upload usage
Hardware: Revo 3610 + SSD - Harmony 700 Remote
Software: XBMCBuntu Gotham - Sickbeard - SabNZBd+
