I'm just in the process of setting up a new ubuntu server for streaming media to my ATV2 but I can't seem to get it to see any AFP sources, is AFP even supported?

My macbook can see everything fine just can't get the ATV2 to see any of it.

I believe AFP is not supported but worked for me using smb sources: I entered in ATV2 a source using SMB with the path in the network of my Time Capsule and my iMac, worked fine! Should be the same with your macbook.

Strange samba does not seem to be install by default on ubuntu server but it does have a config file and when setting it up XBMC seems to then pick it up once I add the shares?!

Just need to setup a headless vm of windows to run iTunes in the box and the ATV2 should be a awesome little front end
