Excuse me if my english is bad, but I am french.
Recently, I went to XBMC 10.0 and am having the following problem : when I update my library videos, XBMC looks indefinitely, sometimes I see the progress bar that he found a movie I did not .... If I leave XBMC it plants also ! (no problem on that side if I do not update my library videos before leaving).
I have no problem to update my music library, and everything worked well before with XBMC 9.11.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit, but I also have a PC running Debian Squeeze, and he does not encounter this problem.
