[LIVE] Video volume low / but music is ok...
#1
Hi all,

I've only just started using XBMC, and building up my collection. Love the GUI, perfect for what I need.

I have installed the LIVE (linux) version to the HDD of a spare computer (now my media centre). This PC is attached via VGA and 3.5" Analogue Audio Jack to my TV.

Whenever I play a video in XBMC, the volume is too low, and I have to turn my TV's inbuilt audio volume up to maximum to achieve an adequate volume level. The videos I am playing are from various sources, some encoded myself, and some family videos encoded by others, all in different formats (so it's not the encoding causing the problem).

When playing music in XBMC, the audio volume is fine.

Could anyone please help me "boost" the volume for videos in my media centre?

For clarification: volume has been turned upto maximum with the media centre's remote control, and volume set to "0.0 dB" (maximum) within the video's settings. I used to play videos on my TV using VLC, and had "default volume" set to 400%, is there a similiar feature in XBMC?

Thanks for your help Smile
Shockfire.

Take a look at my post: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=6...post685162

You need to install the audio mixer add-on and set the appropriate channel to max.
