when i access my smb share i can drill down the folder levels to the folder that have the xvid .avi file. Unfortantly the atv2 cannot see the avi files themselfs.

It sounds like you're mixed up a bit and you're in the mode where you are adding a share, not browsing the contents of that share.

ok i figured it out i was drilling down to far and i didnt realize how to get to "ok" at the bottum... all movies are streaming now ty for ur input
