Restoring to factory defaults is the only option you have when you connect your aTV2 with a MicroUSB cable.

Yes.
You will find nito TV in the menu of your aTV. You can install XBMC from there, too.

Btw: Why does everyone here try to make the thread unclear by quoting everything that has been wirtten just before?

Double check that cable when you buy it. You want a Micro USB cable. A mini USB cable is different.

Quote:The following HOW-TO requires you to have Jailbroken ATV2 version 4.2.1(ATV2 will report this as 4.1.1) or 4.1(ATV2 will report this as 4.0)

yes please tell me if it's wrong before your step i must do this gp_win_rc6_final??
is it okay??
And must i do a Factory resetHuh
I google this
1. Connect Apple TV to computer via microUSB.
2. Reboot Apple TV by pressing and holding Menu + Down buttons simultaneously for around 6 seconds.
3. After restart, immediately press and hold Menu + Play buttons until a message appears in iTunes that indicates Apple TV in recovery mode is detected.
but it dosn't work
