How to compile a PVR branch for iOS.
Hi,
First of all, great job Red_F. I have been using your bulids for some time now.

But have, in all your different versions, suffered the same problem:

Everything runs perfect for some days, maybee a week or so.
But at somepoint the atv2 hangs and forces a reboot.
When I start xbmc it stays alive for about 1min before it reboots again, and so i continues.

I suspected that it was the epg or pvr database who were responsible.
But resetting pvr database does not help.
Neither does resetting epgdatabase or turning of epg.

The only solution for me is to run a dpkg -i on the package.

Can any one help me with this? (My wife is killing me)

**Edit
I am using TvHeadend as backend.
I do not suffer this problem on any other devises other than my atv2. (atv2 version 5.0..something)

Porting the TSReader code from the 4TheRecord addon back to the MediaPortal addon is still work-in-progress from my side. I don't own any OSX, ATV2 or IOS devices so I can't test it and I'm not able to build an ATV2 version.

Thanks for all the hard work, let me know when the TSReader code is ready to test and i am happy to help!

Version 0.0.136 added for ATV2, Linux86 and iOS to the downloads at http://www.4therecord.eu/forum/viewtopic...25&p=20217.

Edit: That is version 0.0.1.136 of the ForTheRecord add-on. The ATV2 .deb package is identical to the most recent code of the Eden-pvr branche of Margro's Github at https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc/tree/Eden-pvr.

Hi,

I wonder that there seems to be no actual ATV PVR build which is useable under ios 5.1.1.
Usualy I use http://xbmc.picmania.org/index.php?dir=atv2%2F but the last build is from beginning of April.

Is anyone able to supply an actual PVR build?

Thanks,
Dan

Looks like there is a build in your link from the 28th of May.

Well, already removed... Sad
Damned... I just downgraded again to iOS 4.x and now the build was removed due incompatibility with 5.1.

Maybe someone downloaded it already and is able to supply this to me?

I've uploaded it here: http://freakshare.com/files/6mr6zqll/201...m.deb.html

It working in ios 5.0.1 but I had to do a clean installation of XBMC because the update did not work.

Edit: sorry it´s ios for iphone, not for ATV.

Too bad... So you also downloaded the wrong one? Anyone else maybe? Smile

What a pitty that you need a Mac to compile that stuff myself, don't have one... :/

Hi All,

I have just tried to install the latest ATV build from PicMania to no luck. XBMC just crashes on loading. Does anyone know of a build that works "fairly well" with TVHeadend? I left XBMC for Plex on the AppleTV a while ago but XBMC will always be my first love (so-to-speak) so I'd love to get it to work!

Cheers
Chris

Try to reset the EPG Database on loading or try to clear your XBMC settings using rm -rf /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC.

BTW The builds on xbmc.picmania.org are my builds. I use them on OSX and iOS together with the XVDR addon. The other PVR addons i cannot test. So it would be cool, if you could post your results using other addons like ForTheRecord, MPTV or VU+.

@TheChief79

Does your build work with ATV2 v4.4.4?

I dont know, the dependencies in the .deb files say, that you need firmware < 5. The build until 04.03.2012 should work on each iOS.

ForTheRecord add-on Version 0.0.1.140 added for iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad, ATV2) and OS X.

ATV2 install package of XBMC 11.0 "Eden" with PVR support and ForTheRecord add-on version 0.0.1.140 added.

See http://www.4therecord.eu/forum/viewtopic...=41&t=2425.

Are there any builds which work with iOS5 on a ATV2? I've installed the "normal" atv2-11.0-3_iphoneos-arm.deb which worked.
Thx
