I tried using the picasa add-on on atv2, and it :

1) logins fine
2) lists albums fine
3) breaks with a "script failed" error whenever I try to download pictures, eg to see an album.

There are more plugins which currently do not work on XBMC for iOS, and thus on the ATV2. Although the Devs have more knowledge on the topic than me, I'd suggest you contact the creator of the add-on itself.
