Why is fanart so much slower on atv with linux than on apple's firmware.
I noticed this first when I started booting xbmc from the usb stick. I thought the fanart was slow because of that. So I put the image on ATV's internal hdd and it's still slow. I'm using PM3 with dds enabled and the up to date ppa. The menus definitely seem snappier than under atv original firmware. Is it some kind of limitation with Linux? I would assume that the fanart would load faster under linux because there is more free ram.
Any help or insight on this would be great.
