I've steamed 3/4 720p films now and not had a problem with any of them on my ATV2 connected to my WD-NAS.

Same here. Streaming 720p wirelessly without any problem. But there are already many topics on this. stevepoon, please take a moment and read a bit of this forum.

HD Xvid seems to be the only problem. As I've also had problems playing HD xvid....bud standard def xvid plays no problem. HD I just make sure to get in mp4 format instead (MKVs play w/o a problem)

I'm also doing wirelessly w/o a problem. I'd suggest the ATV2 as well. 99$ not a bad deal too...
