HTPC Control 3 choices!
#1
Live in UK. I own a Harmony One remote but no ir receiver and presume there is no mouse support either (which i like to use for powerdvd and opening programs, etc) cheapest HP ir receiver is £15 on ebay.

Been using X360 controller wireless so far and the left analogue as the mouse and the LB and RB buttons as left click right click which is great. I though maybe I need something more (like a full keyboard for other things like email or when doing a search in xbmc) and then maybe a feel for something more professional and compact like a remote control look.

Gonna be getting a beast of a mini pc soon and will use it a secondary computer to my TV so want to be able to control it fully as a PC with little hassle. Running Win 7 x64.

Saw these 3 items all for a slightly different need which one is worth it?

Anyone own 1 of these? are they good, bad, ugly? Any other suggestions?

£29

Pros
This one looks interesting as in it has an analogue mouse like an analogue stick on the 360 Controller to control the mouse movements which will be better than a touchpad for me! Also the number pad looks good and I can use this for other things apart from XBMC stuff on my HTPC like email.)

Cons
will it be like lugging around a full size keyboard?!

£14

Pros
A nice looking remote control which supposedly one of the comments says I can use with Harmony One remote as well thereby gaining 2 remotes for the price of 1!
It even looks like it has a blank circle towards the bottom for a touchpad/mouse control

Cons
Not official MCE and also if the touchpad thing is sensitive or strange i dont know if i will like it.

£70

Pros: Looks like everything i need
Cons: Hard to program? Fidgety keys, bluetooth issues of sleeping, etc
Not a remote oh yeah and EXPENSIVE!

I just ordered one of these. I also have a spare iphone that will be designated to my XBMC also.

besides that between the android remote and gmote on my phone + XBMC commander and airmouse on my iPad I am set.

I considered the RII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UE5...d_i=507846 but settled on the media board since i got it $39 shipped on ebay.

I went with the cheap option! the £14 mce remote. 2 remotes for 1 using harmony one which i can reprogram for other things. Also later if i need to i can buy a £20 wireless keyboard mouse...or maybe the dinovo mini lol!
