I just want audio. I have tried every combo of plughw:0,0 .....etc.... nothing works.
I DO NOT get any audio device initialization errors...
Everything works in Windows
I could go either HDMI or Coaxil.... I have both...
I have a 3400z slimline with an nvidia 8400 card....
this is my output of aplay -L
box@mediacenter:~$ aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)

Since the audio devices don't fail to initialize, what gives?
This is super annoying, considering it works out of the box in Windows.
my chip is Realtek ALC1200 and I have the latest alsa
