Hi,

I use Windows Vista Home Premium and it doesn't seem to recognise XBMC, so I can't set it as the default player for all media types. Any suggestions as to how I achieve this?

If you mean you want all media within windows to be associated with XBMC it doesn't work that way the only media that will play in XBMC is that which is available under any source you have added

Thanks for the info. Yes, all I wanted it to do is automatically play torrents etc. when I play them after download. Pity, seems an obvious thing for a multi-media player to be able to do! Rob

Add your download directory as a source and you will be able to play them in file mode even if they are still in Rars

XBMC could also scan them and add the to your library with all artwork and info

Cant see any point in using XBMC if all you want is just a player to play them
