I would like to play music from my server via the xbmc library with my ipad. I'm just wondering how to kill the screen while playing music as to conserve on battery power. Minimizing xbmc with the home button literally kills any mp3 currently playing. Any suggestions.

ipad 4.2.1 with xbmc for ios (feb 20th) build.

Is it possible to run XBMC on the background while reading email and such?
