A lot of the 5.1 and DTS encoded videos I play at home give me issues. I don't have a surround setup and use the speakers of my TV, which are stereo. In many video's the left and right front channels are so loud that speech that usually goes through the center channel is difficult to hear.
The problem is now that I turn the TV set up when there is speech and often suddenly get blasted with a soundwall when there are explosions or music in a movie.
Can anyone help me with this? Is it the encoding of the video? Or is there a setting I can change.
I would rather change a setting than reencode these videos. I use the latest XBMC version.
Thanks!
