Low sound volume?

I can't understand why the level of sound is lower (20db) in xbmc than in other media players (KMP)?

Nvidia ion, 5.1. analog...

You should leave those setting on 0db.
Control the volume with your amplifier or on your tv.
With such a setting, you won't loose many details.

No you don't understand me. In XBC the sound lvl is lower then in any other player. It's about 20db lower. I did not do anithink with XBMC sound preferences.

Alright, I wasn't aware of that.
So you used prof. equipment for measuring those sound levels ?

If so, then this should be forwarded to the devs (e.g. by creating a trac-ticket).

I have this same problem, I am on the latest nightly. I have tried hdmi output and spdif output... TS did you get any resolution?
