Is there an easy way to add custom categories to the home screen, for example...I don't need programs, but would like an entry for TV Shows instead.

P.S. I did see a thread in the tips and tricks section...however...it seemed pretty complicated for such a (imo) essential feature...

I'm not sure just how skinner dependent this is, but I personally have done this fairly frequently using the "Night" skin. You just add a folder as a favorite, then tell the skin to make the favorite a Home menu option.

It works well for Windows. For Linux there's a hoop or two you have to jump through.
