[AppleTV2 / LINUX] Database permissions (Stupid question) :/
#1
Hello...

I have been searching like crazy the whole forum with no answer to this dumb question..

I restored my database from a zip file to my xbmc box (atv2).

When I try to add anything to it, the scraper just quits.

I checked the log and it says that the DB is read-only, therefore I figured out that there was some kind of permission issue.

When I checked the file, it says everything is OK.

I believe there's more than a user / owner for this file

I changed it to 777 in order for it to accept changes, but I want to change it back to it's original write permissions using the supposed file owner of this file (I believe it should be xbmc)

Please help me out to clear this out Smile

Thanks for your reply JediKnight :-)

I had the writing permissions ok, but for some reason it was chpown to admin instead of the default user

My question is: Who is the default owner of the video database in xbmc?

I temporarily changed writing permissions to 777 so I could use it, however i must change it back to normal or (i guess) i might have the chance to corrupt the db

Regards
