Hi all,

im aware of the issues surrounding higher bitrate avis, xvids etc, however i have a different issue.

I have episodes of modern family (file size 170mb) and the good wife (file size 350mb) in avi (xvids).

In the main they play fine, but every few minutes or so part of the image on screen will pixellate and disfigure until the scene changes, also in some episodes sound seems to lose sync by a few milli seconds. Playback doesnt jerk or judder.

THe files play fine on ps3, and my 720p mp4s play fine on my atv2 aswell.

Its hardwired btw, playing files from my NAS

You forgot to mention what build you are using, also what about the logs, mediainfo of the file you are using,

i can post up the log of one of the files i have tonight, but it seems to be any of my sd divxs

Some avis, xvids are encoded with crappy settings. Find a better source for videos.

thats a fair point, but they play fine elsewhere? they only artifact on the appletv
