[HOW TO] - Assigning thumbnails to Picture Folders
#1
Hey everyone!

I have a ton of vacation pictures and I have them all stored in a folder with folders for each place where I went on a vacation. I have created custom thumbnail images for each folder so that it would be easy for me to know what pictures are in the folder by simply looking at the thumbnail image.

My problem is that XBMC is not picking up the thumbnail I have created. I named the thumnail file <folder name>.tbn but when I add the folder as a source it always shows the default icon. Is there anything that I can do so that XBMC automatically picks-up any file with the .tbn extension and turn it into the folder thumbnail?

Thanks for everyone who can help me on this one!

folder.jpg inside the folder should work.

Hi jmarshall!

Thanks for your reply! Would I need to restart or reload after anything after adding an image source?

Hi!

I tried renaming the chosen thumbnail file into folder.jpg but it did not work. I restarted XBMC but still no success. What else can I do?

Thanks!
