In XBMC version 10+ you need to install everything by the add-on manager?

I got a little custom script I want to install (.py), that mutes wait 1 sec then unmute every time I start to play a video (to fix the alsa sound bug, updating didn't help for me).

However I'm not able to find much documentation on how do to this? It cant be right I have to setup a whole Add-on repository just to install a little custom script?

I think you just need an add-on .xml in your script directory. Info is on the wiki and you can look at other add-ons.

where on Wiki do you find this? the add-on manager WIKI page dosent have a working link for Scripts?
