Hello,

i'm new here and have following problem:

I've installed xbmc on an ubnutu pc with airplay addition to view videos from my iphone. Now i want to stream musik from itunes over airplay to my xbmc media server but no airplay device is listed in itunes. From my iphone everything works fine. What did I wrong?

Please don't wonder about my bad english, I'm from germany...

Airplay you have in xbmc is for video and pictures only.

Airplay audio is encrypted/protected and has not been reversed yet ( and probably won't ) .

Actually airtunes was reversed engineered a long time ago. Airfoil will allow you to stream music from any app to airport express. Don't know if it would work with xbmc though.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but on what I remember, Airtunes and Airplay are different protocols.

Airtunes has not been implemented on the idevices, but airplay only.
