New at XBMC and display problem

Dear all,

i recently made my HTPC with the following parts:

TV: SONY
http://www.sony.lv/product/t32-d-ser...TechnicalSpecs
Display Resolution
1920 x 1080

CPU: E6750
Asus P5k Premium (with on board audio card)
4gb ram
ATI 5450 (Sapphire) 1g ram // i use ATI's latest drivers
Windows 7 x64 version

When i logged into windows due to TV resolution 1920*1080 they were some blanks parts in all directions ( up down right left) therefore i overscan in order windows to be full screen.
MPC player has no problem showing full screen movies or only having blanks at top and bottom depending of the movie's resolution.

Unfortunately, i installed latest version of XMPC and whenever i play 1 movie (no matter the resolution ) the movie never displays correct. There are always blanks on top , bottom , right and left no matter what video mode i will choose from the video settings. Its like the screen when i had in the windows 7 firstly before i do the overscan thing.

What can i do to resolve this problem ?

I have attached some pics to get an idea of my problem .

The movie is the same and 1 is with the XBMC player and the other with the MPC .

I think that with the ATI control center you need to set the overscan settings for each refresh rate. Could this be the problem?

I don't have an ATI card I'm afraid so I can't check. I'd guess you need to change the refresh rate on your PC to be whatever the video displays at (probably 24Hz) then go into the CC settings.

I have almost the same set-up... ATI 5770 card.. make sure both displays are active... 'duplicate displays'.

Bring up Catalyst Control Center >Desktop & displays>
At the bottom of this window will be both your panels,
highlight the triangle of the panel in question, choose
configure from the drop down menu...you are now
presented with window with options over the top, pick
Scaling 'O'ptions and move the bar to full overscan.

Hit OK... exit.

Hit Winkey + P key pick display option, start XBMC on desired display.. go to settings>system>video>display mode>full screen and calibrate to maximize the display... you might have to do this in a movie too, to make sure your settings are not a saved sub setting.

Hoping that helps. As a last resort... Settings>Video>Playback>render method.. switch, no adjustment to match video, sometimes DXVA2 can have issues.
