4.3.X Support

I am brand new to atv2 and xbmc, I want to thank everyone here for their hard efforts (over what appears to be years)

I saw the private nightly builds have 4.3 Hardware MKV support:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=96725
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=760...stcount=75

I am mildly versed in command line, and was going to attempt an update, but I can't find the 3/26 nightly with the 4.3 support at the nightly folder:
http://hadm.net/~keith/xbmc_atv2/

Does anyone have a guide or info on the upgrade process beyond
$ apt-get update

Thanks. Totally great experience so far.

Correct, thats why they are private. I have just released them for public consumption now, so you'll see them in that directory now.

Can you point me to a "How to Guide"?

-Oops I read I was not supposed to ask on here. If anyone can PM me the concept to install nightly builds, great. If not I will poke around and try.

thanks all.

Install of nightly should be no different than manual install of official build...

wget http://hadm.net/~keith/xbmc_atv2/org.xbm...74166b.deb

dpkg -i org.xbmc-032611_ios-arm-6374166b.deb

NOTE: For the above commands, be sure to substitute the most current URL/filename for the nightly.

I am getting some kind of error with Iconpack. Where can I find this file?

I installed the atv2 deb but get this when I install ios deb

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of org.xbmc.xbmc-ios:
org.xbmc.xbmc-ios depends on org.xbmc.xbmc-iconpack; however:
Package org.xbmc.xbmc-iconpack is not installed.
dpkg: error processing org.xbmc.xbmc-ios (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Since you're on 4.3, I will help, in spite of the detailed instructions on the other unofficial thread that states if you don't know what youre doing, don't attempt this. Tongue

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92261

Here was my old thread, these instructions still apply, but use the 3/26 build from my directory instead of what it says.

Ok team, thanks so much.

even though I knew to "use the latest" builds, I was being daft and tried to install old builds. DUH.

Anyway Keith your link was very helpful and I appreciate you going out of your way to help.

Cheers
