I always liked Alaska but for some reason never really gave it a chance, now I am but I got a few questions.

I installed the revisited version from the repo but I am not getting the images on the home menu for movies, settings, etc, from what I understand I need a nightly version of revisited, is this correct?

I would like to get additional themes to work but I am lost, I downloaded the background pack of the 12 or so background.png images but then what, are there icon packs that I need to download as well?

And finally is there a way to turn the transparency down so fanart shows a little more through the frosted background?

thanks

Do a search, your first question has been asked and answered 100 times.

If you want to stay with 10.1 then you need Alaska.Revisited 2.7.6, If you want to try anything newer you need to skip over 10.1 and use pre-11, please note that pre-11 is not 100% stable. Again, search is your friend.

Open the zip file where xbmc can see them and use the custom backgrounds option in the Alaska Settings.

No you can't turn the transparency down on your own.
