Hey Everybody,

i have this x10 remote:


The remote is supported by default but only a few buttons like the arrow keys are detected . other buttons are switched (e.g. volume up/down) and other buttons have no functions.

I found a keymap.xml and lircmap.xml for this remote here: http://mskairsoft.de/xbmclirc.zip (article)

However, after copy both files in the ~/.xbmc/userdata respectively ~/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps folder the remote has the same "functions" as before.

in the console and push buttons on the remote, there is no output. when starting

i have the feeling that the remote is recognized as keyboard. is this possible?

i'm thankful for every hint.

Btw: I'm Using XBMC 10.1

Just turn on Debugging in xbmc and this confirmed my suspicion.
pressing arrow right on the remote has the same effect as cursor right on the keyboard

I also have one of these remotes, and am interested if there is any progress on making it work better.

I am using Win7, but would hope any help here will be useful for me as well.

In Frodo I have problems with "DOWN" key. In some menus it works like a "BACK" - it returns to previous menu. Noticed anyone this behavior?? Maybe somebody have properly worked configuration files for this controller and want to share ??
