[LIVE] HD6310 issues

Hi all,

I'm trying to XBMC on my HTPC with a Gigabyte GA-E350N-USB3 which has a Ati HD6310 on board. It install fine but when XBMC boots, I get a framerate of less then 1fps.
A quick search on the boards showed that it was probably the drivers for the HD6310. After reading this post I tried updating to the latest drivers using this method.
This apparently didn't work, as I get the following error:
laurens@XBMCLive:~$ fglrxinfo
Error: unable to open display (null)
I haven't changed anything else to the XBMC Live fresh install.

Any ideas?

Update: I've been using ssh from my normal desktop pc to install the drivers, but decided to try the HTPC again a few minutes ago. Apparently, the drivers did work because the menus feel ok now!
Still puzzled why I get the errors though?

When playing a video I also get a 'failed to initialize audio device' error. Any input on that?
