i have games placed like this:

f:\games\racing\<game folders>
f:\games\roleplay\<game folders>
...
g:\games\sports\<game folders>
g:\games\adventure\<game folders>
...
and so on...

this makes kai not work for me. i have to put all the systemplay games into one folder which is a solution but not perfect since it breaks my categorizing of the games.

so my request:

1. add possibility to add multible game folders for kai
2. add possibiliy to add scan level (default: 1)

you can add multiple game folders by separating them with a ';'
eg. f:\games;g:\games

but what about scan level, are you suggesting that i add all folders i have?

the scan level is one directory, so you have do this:
f:\games\racing;f:\games\roleplay;g:\games\sports...
and don't forget, do *not* put slashes at the end of dirs.

i tried both with ; and , as a seperator. still cannot find the game!?

it's found fine under games bookmark with scan level of 2...

question: does avalaunch join arena when starting game normally, as in not through the kai interface?

the default.xbe of the games should be located like this:

f:\games\racing\theracinggame\default.xbe

this should always be found by kai.

the game is here:

g:\games\!racing\rallisport challenge 2\

and there is a 'default.xbe'.

xbmc jan 15th does not find this game...

also, i'd like to know if xbmc joins arena when starting game normally from my programs (games bookmark) and not through the kai interface?

ok, i tried something different.

i moved the game to g:\games

then i set kai games path to 'g:\games'

now kai could find it.

so i'm pretty sure that multiple folders does not work as you described. at least not for me in jan 15 build

my request remains... multiple game folders for kai plus scanlevel setting

no, you have to be in this arena using kai

oh and you have to use a version after the 28-01-2005 to have support for multiple gamedirs.

you keep avoiding the scan level setting? it's already elsewhere in xbmc, so shouldn't be that hard to apply to the routine that locates the games for kai?
