I updated to 10.1 and then tried the nightlies but these one take ut to 10 seconds to display a directory like the Simpsons wht contains lot of files (even if they are in their season folder).
So I went back to 10.1 but since then my files show only up sorted reverse.

They are sorted right in TV SHOWS but not in the VIDEOS and FAVOURITES

going back to nightlies everything works like is should but still very slow in the big directories section, reinstalling 10 or 10.1 same sorting problem again.

I did some searching but could not make out the culprit.

Any help appreciated.

Press the left arrow and you should be able to change the sort order.

sadly that does not work anymore, it just leaves the sorting popup then.
i tried switching from transparency back to the standard skin, but no difference
trying to use the mouse and clicking direct on the sorting marker leaves the menu too.

i can confirm switching back from nightlies to 10.1 is causing this issue.
for some reason you can't focus the 'sort direction' arrow anymore.

the only way to fix it is to remove the ViewModes.db file
and remove the <viewstates> section in guisettings.xml

any idea why the nightlies need so long to open "big" directories?
10 seconds to open the 22 years of Simpsons vs 1 second in Dharma
if not for that, I would stick with the nightlies
