Win7 does include the newest Nvidia drivers in the normal windows update so there's no need to download it specifically from the website

The Nvidia drivers in windows update are not the same as the official Nvidia ones. they are a generic Nvidia one tested specifically to be as stable as possible and suitable for the windows update platform. the windows update Nvidia drivers are not updated as often as the official Nvidia ones. (only updated every 3-6 months.)

However, I find that the windows update version of the Nvidia drivers are often better than the official Nvidia ones due to this strict testing.
