Will I have any problems running XBMC with the following setup?

[mobo] Biostar A880G+ AMD
[ram] Crucial 2x2gb DDR3-1333
[cpu] AMD Phenom II X2 560
[case] Powerspec DM-387

I will be installing win7 home premium and using a HDD i have laying around in my stash. Would it make it easier to run an Intel board with Nvidia graphics? For now I am planning on just running the integrated ATI graphics, but am willing to upgrade if needed.

That is overkill for xbmc. On windows 7 no need to get a different gpu. The cpu alone could handle 1080p, but on windows 7 the built in gpu can do dxva and will handle the decoding.

one other question. will i need any additional cooling besides the 80mm fan included in the case?

I might do a few quiet fans just to be safe, but that is me. Would most likely be fine with just the one.

An your 100% sure, you wanna run Win7+XBMC?

Why not XBMC Live?
If you wanna run XBMC live, you should get a NVIDIA card, because ATI cards are not well supported in XBMC Live.
