some of us have the same issue but it seems to be an skin issue related to some skins, perhaps because they use some specific function that is not working fine.
Can any skinner see http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=99433?

As noted in the original thread, it's just the way the skins are coded. File view is not meant (generally) to display all the bells and whistles.
