I got my first HTPC a few weeks ago and love it.
I have ripped all my cd's and now am thinking about my dvd's. I have something close to 300 so id figure I need a 2 tb drive. Im thinkink of a buffallo juststore as the reports are it very quiet. Would It be better plugging this direct into my zotac ion board or via my wifi router which has a usb input for a drive.

I would love to get a nas but just cannt afford it at the moment. Need to replace my Marantz amp and other bills.

Thanks for your input.
If you can squeeze the 2 TB drive into the HTPC for the time being I'd suggest that or a cheapo external enclosure.

That way you can move the 2 TB drive into the 'real' NAS when time comes and minimize wastage. NAS is long-term best way to go by far.
This is the external im thinking of,

Id assume there is just a 3.5 drive inside it so when funds (wife) allows I can tear it apart and use the hd in my nas.
