Full Version: Is there an official test case for HD content ?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there is some standard test case, which could be used for HD?
- What would be a good reference? 720p, 1080i, or even 1080p ?

Is 24p required or nice to have ?

I assume VDPAU is running since my yaVDR is running fine with FTA HDTV in Germany (ARD-HD, ZDF-HD, ArteHD). Nevertheless, when I play videos that I downloaded in the internet (via XBMC), I see frame drops etc.

Thus, I'm interested in a efficient approach to debug this.

Thanks,
Marcus
Check the sticky for disabling compiz extension and setting vsync.
In XBMC make sure your video driver is setup to AUTO (or you can force VDPAU from the list)
When video is running press "O" to see what drivers are currently used.
